Multi-platform storyteller putting curiosity to good use.

My real name is Carlana.

You can call me

Carly Q.

A decade deep into journalism, and we're still madly in love. The inverted pyramid was my first crush, covering planning board meetings for $40 a story for a weekly newspaper in Gloucester County, New Jersey.

The flirtation continued through undergraduate years at Glassboro's Rowan University, leading the student newspaper The Whit.

It started to get pretty serious in 2008.

I climbed from editorial assistant at the South Jersey Times to simultaneously working as its senior reporter and assistant editor, winning six New Jersey Press Association awards.

Courier-Post recruited me in 2014. I investigate animal cruelty, cover breaking news and report on stories in South Jersey neighborhoods. I'm the face of the Courier-Post's live Facebook broadcasts.
